Arrowhead Fern

Warrior. Some Native American Indians used the arrowhead plant as a ceremonial blessing when they began planting spring crops. The jade-green arrow-shaped leaves are an auspicious sign in Chinese culture as they signify continuous improvement.

Aspen Tree

Often the first tree to reforest burned woodlands. Symbolizes determination and overcoming fears and doubts. The tree is seen as a source of strength, shelter and protection. Calms fear. Brings laughter. Guards the rebirth of the sun. Protects against evil.

Blue

Fidelity. Symbol for truth and the eternity of God (for what is true, is eternal).

Copper (color of river )

A chthonic (of the earth) symbol of warmth. Copper has the power to conduct.      A status symbol. Copper coins are placed in the bridal bed to assure a lasting union.

Heart

Love. The center of development.

Five (ravens)

Represents the five senses: sight, hearing, taste, touch, and smell. There are five elements: wood, fire, earth, metal, and water. Five forms of earthly happiness: wealth, longevity, peace, virtue and health.

Full Moon

Carries feelings and emotions. Completion. Strength. Represents peace, beauty, and serenity.

River

Source of life. A channel that allows movement through life with minimal conflict. An image of the never-ending flow of time.

White Raven

A white raven is an indication of the enlightenment.  Mythology: There was a time when darkness covered the earth; the sun had been stolen. After much searching, the Raven found the sun. With the sun in its bill, the Raven began the long journey to return the sun to the sky, turning white during the trip due to the intensity and brightness of the sun.

Sun

Spiritual illumination. Identity becoming. Conscious purpose.

Snake

Healer. Energy. A source of knowledge and inner wisdom. The active or dynamic aspect of the life’s unconscious psyche. It’s ability to shed its skin makes the snake a symbol of invitation, transformation, and self renewal. Usually snakes are seen in healing and fertility rites. A hunter.

Spider

A clever one. Protects from harm. Represents the sun, or Great Mother as a weaver of destiny. Acumen. Good fortune. It is said that the spider connects the past with the future. Creative and weaves the pattern of life.

Raven

A wanderer on this earth. A messenger or guide on life’s journey. Was the first bird released from Noah’s ark. Ravens were thought to be the only birds to understand the augurs (interpretations of the Gods, signs, omens). The harbinger of change, hidden potential, and instinctiveness.
